Group Project :: 80s Movie Poster by Tammie

The Happy Happy artists each chose a favorite movie from the 1980s and created  their own take on the movie poster.  We had so much fun thinking of movies to do and it brought back lots of fun memories.

tammie bennett's annie movie poster

tammie watched annie SO. many. times. growing up and she couldn't wait to do this poster. She wanted to keep it really simple and graphic.  Her poster focuses on the first time annie has a kind mother figure in the movie.  and dancing.  of course.

be sure to check out the other movie posters!

Group Project : : 80s MOVIE POSTER by Muffin

The Happy Happy artists have been sifting through their favorite movies of the 1980s to create some unique movie posters. Though they're quickly realizing, it's hard to narrow it down to just one!

Muffin loves the humor in The Three Amigos and chose to focus on the type. She hand drew each of the lines on the inside of the type and customized the lettering, based off of the font, Penny. Definitely a challenge, but happy with the way it turned out!

Group Project :: 80s Movie Poster by Emily

The Happy Happy artists have been sifting through their favorite movies of the 1980s to create some unique movie posters. Though they're quickly realizing, it's hard to narrow it down to just one!

Emily is starting off this month's project with Ghostbusters - a cult favorite that just so happens to be celebrating it's 30th anniversary this month! Drawing buildings, vehicles and scary characters pushed Emily out of her comfort zone a bit, but it was a ton of fun nevertheless!

Group Project :: Quote by Muffin Grayson

This project was so much fun to design! Seriously! There is nothing more pleasing than drawing sunshine and flowers, butterflies and birds. Or as my daughter would say, "There's nature on that paper!" Enjoy! Hope this artwork brings a little happy happy to your day!

We are working on a group project involving positive messages and hand-lettering! You may recognize the sentiment from our very first post that featured Emily Balsley's version. "Art Is For Happy Happy People". We couldn't agree more!
