Workspace Update :: Muffin's Studio

Surprisingly, over the past year, four of the six Happy Happy Art Collective ladies have moved. Thus, we wanted to give you an update of what our studios look like now. First up is Muffin. Let's see what she has to say about her new space.

I just love the light in my new studio! When looking for a new home, we decided to build with a modern builder and that meant lots of straight lines and white walls! When we chose this floor plan and this lot, I knew it would be perfect for the Southwestern Sun! I love light and bright and it makes me so happy to come to work each day and look out my window at the beautiful Rocky Mountains!

I love how big my new studio is. I'm lucky enough to have a whole bedroom of our 3 bedroom home dedicated to my work. The room is even big enough for a crafting table and a blow up queen size air mattress for when guests come over. I recently repainted the legs of my desk a happy teal color. I have an awesome dad who built them for me about 5 years ago. And I finally sanded and stained my desk top. It was in need of a good sanding.

Here I am happily sketching. I love all the natural light!

I love vintage! here is an old scale and some vintage crates I picked up last Summer from a vintage shop in Florence, Colorado. Only one of the coolest places to shop vintage EVER! The map came from a flee market a few years back. When I saw it, I just knew I had to own it, but I never had a place to hang it until now! I made the little doll when I was pregnant with my first daughter. It reminds me to take the time to create things.

I'm a collector of beautiful fabric, new and old. I have lots more, it's just not shown here. I also love good design books.

One of my favorite books is this Handbook of Lettering for Stitchers. I highly recommend it for looking at unique lettering.

Well, that's a wrap. I hope you enjoyed seeing my new studio. I just love being able to work from home and be home with my kiddos. Nothing makes me happier. What brings you happiness where you work?

Stop by over the coming months to see the other ladies post about their new workspaces and what makes them happy.
