The Happy Happy artists have been sifting through their favorite movies of the 1980s to create some unique movie posters. Though they're quickly realizing, it's hard to narrow it down to just one!
Jill decided to do a kid's movie, and took on the Disney classic, "The Little Mermaid." The scene that she first thought of was Ariel's fascination with everyday "land" objects…remember the "dinglehoffer" (fork)? She wanted to try something different this time… paint! Inspired by her happy art pal Lauren's expert use of gouache, she gave it a go only to have even more new found respect for Lauren's expertise! She painted different elements separately, and combined later digitally. The lettering was all done in illustrator, as usual.
